A Lesson in Velvet
Some people believe velvet originated in China during the 13th century or much earlier. But while it’s almost impossible to back up that statement. However, we know that it’s a type of fabric made from silk thread. Nowadays, most velvet is made from synthetic or natural fibers because pure silk is very expensive.
It goes without saying that no pure silk was used in the making of these dresses. But the women don’t seem mad at it, so that’s fair. It’s also another photo where the bride seems to be showing off her garter with a look of pure glee on her face.
