Delta Burke – Born 1956


Delta Burke has many titles, including, producer and author, but she is most known for her abilities on-screen. The American actress is best known for starring as Suzanne Sugarbaker in the CBS sitcom, Designing Women. Through this role, Burke was nominated for two Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series. While she was best known as Miss Sugarbaker, her television career didn’t end there as she starred in other sitcom and drama classics such as Filthy Rich, Delta, and Women of the House. If her resume wasn’t already impressive enough, she even had a few shows on Broadway! Originally from Florida, and crowned Miss Florida in 1974, she now resides in Los Angeles but also has homes in Colorado and New Orleans.
