Cheryl Tiegs – Born 1947
Cheryl Tiegs might not be a name you remember on cue but is a face that changed the fashion and modeling industry for years to come. Born in 1947, Tiegs just turned 71, and we can’t help but reflect on her explosive career throughout the 1970s. She is often referred to as the “First American Supermodel” and is best known for her multiple cover appearances on the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issues. However, her name really made the rounds after a feature of her on the cover of TIME was published featuring her in a pink bikini, which turned into an iconic image from the 70s pop culture era. Throughout the years, Tiegs has aged beyond gracefully and we wish her nothing but healthy and happiness for her 71st year!
