Sometimes, spontaneity and unplanned circumstances can turn out to be a big success. Apparently, Tom Hanks decided to ad-lib the line, “My name is Forrest Gump. People call me Forrest Gump.” The line was not only used in the film, it even turned out to be a great insurance for the film’s success. The director, Robert Zemeckis actually loved it a lot and decided to keep it in the final cut.
