Sequel to the Book
The author of the novel Winston Groom decided that he wanted to write a sequel due to the movie’s immense success. He wanted this novel to focus on the goings-on that happened after the story in the movie ended. The novel Gump & Co. was released soon after but it wasn’t quite as successful as the first one. And because the author didn’t receive a single loyalty after the movie release, we hear he had to even take loans to publish its sequel.
