Clinking Coins
According to reports, Robert Zemeckis, the director of the movie, wanted to release the movie with the sound of coins jangling about in Forrest’s pocket whenever he ran. Unfortunately, upon its release to the theaters, there was no sound of clinking coins. There’s no official reason for this, but perhaps it was a glitch. Thankfully, the DVD and cable TV versions were edited to include the director’s wish.
