One afternoon, Sandra, the neighbor from next door, knocked on Greg and Jeanne’s door with an unexpected request. She wanted her kids, along with the neighborhood children, to use their pool for the summer. Her reasoning made sense—keeping the kids off the streets seemed like a good, safe option.
Upon hearing, Greg wasn’t sure. For him, the pool was meant to be their quiet sanctuary, not a noisy playground. Jeanne, on the other hand, with her kind nature, persuaded him to say yes.
