Óscar Jiménez se ganó a pulso el ser titular del club América con mucho fútbol y esfuerzo. Es por eso que cuando el Memo Ochoa anunció su regreso al club, muchos cuestionaron el hecho, remarcando que Jiménez estaba al mismo o incluso a un nivel superior que el legendario Guillermo “Memo” Ochoa.
