Glücklich, aber verängstigt
Um auf das Urteil des Gerichts zurückzukommen: Cynthia war nun zufrieden mit dem Ergebnis, Naomi zu bekommen, aber sie hatte immer noch Angst. Johnny war enttäuscht, dass Naomi lieber bei Cynthia blieb als bei ihm. Er fing an, andere Anfragen zu stellen. Cynthias Anwalt teilte ihr mit, dass sie sehr wahrscheinlich das Sorgerecht für ihre Drillinge verlieren könnte. Cynthia könnte aus verschiedenen Gründen das alleinige Sorgerecht für die Drillinge verweigert worden sein.
Ihre finanzielle Situation war das umstrittenste Thema. Der Richter entschied, dass ihr finanzieller Status ausreichte, um Naomi zu ernähren, aber nicht notwendig, um sich um Cynthias vier Kinder zu kümmern, als die Drillinge geboren wurden. In den nächsten Monaten soll es besser werden. Sie waren einst ein glücklich verheiratetes Paar. Es wäre besser gewesen, wenn sie es nicht dem Zufall überlassen hätten. Beiden ist nun bewusst, was das Schicksal für sie bereithält. Cynthia trägt nun die Hauptlast der Konsequenzen.
