The doctor performed all the necessary diagnostic tests. Now it was time to talk to Cynthia about the results. So Cynthia was called to the doctor. Cynthia sat in her chair, frowning. She felt like she could predict what the doctor would say, but she hoped it wasn’t true. As we know, Cynthia’s mind is busy with other things at this point in her life. She wasn’t looking forward to hearing what the doctor was going to tell her.
The doctor finally came back with the surprising news: “You are pregnant.” Cynthia looked at the doctor and could hardly believe what she was hearing. But there was more to the story. What can you possibly expect if you already know you are pregnant? Cynthia was now eager to hear what the doctor had to say in addition to the news she had just received. She waited patiently for the doctor to begin the second message.
