Gordie Howe — Colleen Howe
This couple is sadly no longer with us, but their love story is one worth telling. They’re still with us in our hearts, and ice hockey player Gordie Howe had made sure to cherish Colleen throughout their life together. The two have met in 1949 and were married four years later, in 1953.
They had four children and were married until Colleen’s death in 2009. Upon her death, Gordie was said to have uttered the words that she was everything to him. After that, Gordie raised their children on his own, and in 2015, he passed away at age eighty-five.
