The trend gained traction after the British model and actress Suki Waterhouse revealed she used soda to add texture and volume to her hair.
In an interview, she mentioned, “I don’t like my hair when it’s washed—it’s fine and limp—but Coca-Cola makes it tousled like I’ve gone through the Amazon or something.” It didn’t take long before beauty enthusiasts and influencers began experimenting with the hack and sharing their experiences on platforms like YouTube and TikTok.
