Has anyone had the embarrassing moment of getting a customer mistaken for a store staff member? We all want earth to swallow us alive whenever this happens. Even worse is when we accidentally use the wrong pronoun when addressing an employee. It is expected that they will get irritated but some don’t mind it.
It would seem that this worker took matters into her own hands and made sure nobody mistook her orientation by wearing a shirt stating the obvious. Though mistakes are understandable, it’s important to be more aware of a person’s identity and use neutral terms when addressing them to avoid embarrassing moments.
