Quem conheceu Shane McGowan, vocalista da banda irlandesa-britânica de punk The Pogues, quase não o reconhece mais. Infelizmente, apesar de talentoso, Shane acabou usando heroína e tornando-se alcoolatra, o que deixou com um rosto assustador. Sem dentes e com um rosto visivelmente acabado, Shane mais parece um sem teto do que uma celebridade. A vida de Shane MacGowan foi transmitida ao público nos documentários If I Should Fall from Grace – The Shane MacGowan Story e The Great Hunger.
