How Two Loudmouth Bikers Got Completely Wrecked by a Calm Trucker
The Calm Before the Break
Bill, one of the older bikers, leaned in close enough for me to hear him. His voice was low, calm, almost a little too calm. Right away, I caught the meaning behind it. Bill had been around long enough to know when trouble was not just a possibility but a sure thing.
Jake and Travis kept laughing, throwing their weight around like nothing could touch them. Meanwhile, the trucker stayed cool, pumping gas like he was running errands on a slow afternoon. No tension, no rush. Everything about the way he moved said one thing loud and clear. This fight, if it came, had already been decided.
