Hubba Hubba! These Swimsuit Moments Made Film History For A Reason!
SUE LYON – LOLITA, 1962
Sue Lyon debuted at the age of 13, ultimately evolving into a fashion icon and accomplished actress. Her big break was being featured in an episode of “The Loretta Young Show” in 1959. Nevertheless, it was in 1962 that she became famous for her daring role in the controversial film “Lolita,” earning her a Golden Globe award.
Sue played a young girl infatuated with her older literature professor and delivered a captivating performance. Beating over 800 starlets, she bagged the part, making a memorable entrance in a striking brown two-piece swimsuit accentuated by a light blue wide sun hat. Sue’s look in “Lolita” ultimately defined her career in Hollywood.
