FARRAH FAWCETT – SUNBURN, 1979
Farrah Fawcett, a celebrated artist, beauty, and actress, achieved worldwide acclaim for her role in the inaugural season of “Charlie’s Angels.” She made her Hollywood debut at just 21, initially appearing in commercials and making guest TV appearances in shows like “Harry O” and “The Six Million Dollar Man.”
In 1979, Fawcett, already an embodiment of Hollywood femininity, graced the screen in the British-American detective comedy film “Sunburn.” Her character, Ellie Morgan, portrayed a hired wife, and she made waves in a striking blue denim-like swimsuit that became an iconic image. Fawcett would go on to have her bathing suit-clad posters glave many walls over the years.
