Any fan of football knows Paul Merson’s name. He started out by playing in the forward position but realized soon enough that playing that way wasn’t his calling, so he took on the position of a midfielder and found himself with a much more successful career after that.

This man is now 51 years of age and has three children. Despite his age, he’s currently playing for the Caerau Football Club as their midfielder, having debuted in October 2017 against a match with Pontyclun. He has dabbled in managing teams as well, which we aren’t too surprised to hear since his skills in the game are astonishing.

However, as great as his career has been, he hasn’t made the best decisions in life which means his bank account has suffered a lot and he almost gambled his own house away, and that would have been a disaster.
