Después de obtener un rol en una película con Mel Gibson, What Women Want, Brooke Elliot se convirtió en un nombre muy conocido en Hollywood. Sin embargo, su carrera no comenzó ahí ya que ella ya había actuado antes en Broadway. Ella siempre ha expresado que el teatro es su primer amor y lo mantiene hasta ahora. Ella tuvo un gran rol en el programa de Lifetime, Drop Dead Diva y este continuó por seis temporadas. Su pérdida de peso fue gracias al zumba, turbo, yoga, pilates y entrenamiento de pesas. Es bueno ver a una mujer exitosa que puede hacer sus propias finanzas y encima de eso tiene una gran rutina fitness.
