Meryl Streep es considerada una de las mejores actrices de su era. Ha estado nominada incontables veces a diferentes premios y ha sido ganadora de más de 100 premios. Podemos decir que Don Gummer fue la persona que sacó a Meryl de la tristeza. Antes de Gummer, Streep estaba en una relación con John Cazale, pero él falleció de cáncer y ella no podía soportar vivir en el mismo apartamento. Gummer era amigo de su hermano y le ofreció su apartamento, la ayudó a querer vivir de nuevo y ya sabemos el resto. 40 años de relación y 3 hijas después, la pareja sigue junta y feliz.
