Nos encantaría decirles que no fue así, pero la realidad es que ninguna de las compañías de seguros con las que se puso en contacto este grandioso hombre estaba dispuesta a cubrir su colección de centavos. Luego de muchas averiguaciones y vueltas, decidió contratar un seguro de vivienda.
No quedaban más opciones que vender su colección de centavos únicos, cuestión que no le agradaba, pero no tenía otra forma de solucionar. Tenía la leve esperanza de haber ahorrado suficiente dinero para tener un nivel de vida decente, ya que conocía la historia de un hombre que se hizo de una fortuna tan solo coleccionando monedas.
