Carmen Alcayde es una periodista, presentadora y escritora española que comenzó su carrera en 1996, después de conseguir su título. Su primer trabajo fue en la revista Sociedad, para luego empezar a trabajar en televisión en los canales locales de Valencia. En 1997 recibió el Premio de Valencia a Mejor magazine. Ganó popularidad en el año 2003 al participar en el programa de Telecinco Aquí hay tomate. También ha incursionado en el mundo de la actuación y como escritora, lleva 3 libros publicados. Actualmente, a sus 49 años, se encuentra divorciada de su pareja de toda la vida, con quien tiene 3 hijos.
