Mamen Mendizábal tiene una gran trayectoria en el mundo de la comunicación en España. Aunque hace muchos años está en la televisión, sus comienzos fueron en la radio en el programa Hoy por Hoy. En el año 2005 dió un gran salto empezando a formar parte de La Sexta, fue una de las fundadoras de la redacción de informativos. Hoy la podemos ver en su programa Encuentros Inesperados que se emite todos los jueves. A sus 47 años con un gran éxito, decide compartir su vida con su pareja José Antonio Ponseti, a quien conoce desde el año 2005, y ha preferido no tener hijos.
