Manoella Torres, más conocida como La mujer que nació para cantar, es una cantante estadounidense muy popular. Desde muy pequeña mostró su interés por la música, con solo 4 años comenzó a cantar en el coro de la iglesia. Su mayor impulsora fue su abuela, quien le pagaba las clases de canto y la llevaba a concursos. Realizó más de 33 producciones discográficas e incursionó en varios géneros musicales. Sus canciones más conocidas son Ahora que soy libre, Te voy a enseñar a querer y Libre como gaviota. Hoy, a sus 68 años, lleva 51 años de carrera y ha tenido muchos amores. Tiene una hija.
