Love in the World of Politics: Famous Politicians and Their Better Halves
Ina & Jeffrey Garten – Together Since 1968
Ina was only 15 when she crossed paths with Jeffrey in 1963. It was love at first sight for Garten, 17 at that time, and he didn’t waste a moment before sending a love letter to his future better half. It took the duo 5 years to settle down in holy matrimony.
Ina started working as a nuclear budget analyst and Jeffrey found a job in the state department and consequently, the two became busy in their respective careers. Nevertheless, they both stayed attracted to each other and would rush into each other’s arms whenever they found an opportunity. The couple has been the perfect epitome of ‘living happily ever after’ and has never chewed over a marriage counseling session. We guess they never would.
