By the time Cyndi Lauper met David Thornton, they had already both achieved fame and success in the entertainment world. However, it doesn’t come as a surprise to any of us because they’re both hardworking and passionate people. While Cyndi Lauper made her mark as a singer and actress, churning out hits like “Time After Time” and “Girls Just Want To Have Fun.” And David Thornton cemented his name in the industry as an actor, with movies like Home Alone 3 and The Notebook in his kitty.
They met on the set of their movie Off and Running. Something must have immediately clicked between them as they got married the same year as the movie’s release. They have been together ever since and have had one son, Declyn Wallace Thornton Lauper. Their son is now an aspiring singer that goes by the name Dex Lauper. Together, they share a hard-earned fortune that has a combined total of around $38 million.
