Appena appare sullo schermo, è inevitabile iniziare a canticchiare il tema musicale della Famiglia Addams, accompagnato dai celebri schiocchi di dita. Ecco a voi l’incantevole e devoto Gomez Addams, sempre al fianco della splendida Morticia e del buffo zio Fester, che ci hanno regalato tante ore di puro intrattenimento. Curiosamente, John non aveva mai pensato di intraprendere la carriera di attore; infatti, studiava matematica alla John Hopkins University. Durante quel periodo, partecipando a piccole produzioni teatrali, scoprì la sua passione per il cinema, ottenendo infine un ruolo minore nel film West Side Story.
