Nahe der 70 kann Iris Berben auf eine lange und erfolgreiche, aber auch sehr interessante Karriere stolz sein. Bekannt wurde sie mit Zwei himmlische Töchter. Ihren ausgeprägten Sinn für Humor bewies sie an der Seite von Diether Krebs in Sketchup. Mit Klassikern wie Das Erbe der Guldenburg und Buddenbrooks ist sie fester Bestandteil der deutschen Kultur geworden.
Den Jüngeren ist sie vor allem durch ihre Rollen in Das Teufelsweib, Die glückliche Familie und Supergirl in Erinnerung geblieben. Ihre neusten Projekte beweisen, das Berben noch lange nicht ans Aufhören denkt, auch trotz der vielen Preise, die sie bereits abgeräumt hat, unter anderem einen Bambi, die goldene Kamera und das Bundesverdienstkreuz.
