The Ever-Iconic and Intriguing Splash Mountain Memorabilia
In the ’90s, Splash Mountain became known as Flash Mountain, due to a few wild visitors’ outrageous behavior. As they rode up the final hill, some female guests lifted their tops to show their chests to the camera. The staff at Disney World worked hard to contain these photos, but some inevitably made it onto the web.
It’s believed they were even uploaded by the staff themselves! To prevent further embarrassment, those featured in the images informed the team that they could redo the ride and retake the photos, to make sure only appropriate ones were seen by the public. Ah, the days of Flash Mountain.
