Franz Beckenbauer (verstorben 2024) und Heidi Burmester – Zusammen seit 2006
Franz Beckenbauer, der „Kaiser“ des deutschen Fußballs, fand nach schweren Schicksalsschlägen in Heidi Burmester seine dritte große Liebe. 2006, während der WM in Deutschland, heirateten die beiden in einer privaten Zeremonie, fernab des Medienrummels. Bereits damals war ihre Familie mit den Kindern Joel und Francesca komplett.
Franz musste den Verlust seiner ersten Ehefrau Brigitte verkraften, und auch gesundheitlich hatte er es schwer: Zwei Herzinfarkte und ein Augeninfarkt belasteten den einstigen Weltstar. Im Januar 2024 verstarb Beckenbauer schließlich, hinterlässt jedoch ein Lebenswerk voller sportlicher Erfolge und eine trauernde Familie. Heidi und die Kinder, die zuletzt mit ihm in Kitzbühel lebten, erinnern sich an ihn als liebevollen Ehemann und Vater.
