The ageless and legendary Carmen Dell’Orefice has just turned 87 and is continuing to prove the theory that age is just a number. She is known within the fashion industry for being the both the world’s youngest and oldest working model. At only 15, she graced the covers of Vogue, and currently, in 2019, she still finds herself modeling and picking up various fashion campaigns. Her daily motto is said to be “Enjoy yourself, at no-one else’s expense”. Apart from her professional life as a model, Dell’Orefice is also a scholar, having attained an honorary doctorate from the University of the Arts London in recognition of her various and continuing contributions to the fashion industry. At 87, Carmen is redefining what it means to be a model in this day and age and we can’t wait to see how else she disrupts the status quo!
