Carice van Houten en Guy Pearce, beide talentvolle filmacteurs, hebben al enige tijd een liefdevolle relatie. Hun ontmoeting vond plaats op een filmset, en sindsdien heeft het stel elkaar niet meer losgelaten. Na een periode in New York besloot Carice, zeker na de geboorte van hun zoon Monte, terug te keren naar Nederland om dichter bij huis te zijn.
