Sigrid Kaag & Anis al-Qaq
Sigrid Kaag, voormalig vice-premier en Minister van Financiën, speelt een centrale rol binnen D66. Ondanks dat ze pas in 2017 haar politieke carrière begon, klom ze snel naar de top. Haar privéleven kende ook een bijzonder verloop. Op 31-jarige leeftijd ontmoette ze Anis al-Qaq tijdens een internationale reis en binnen een jaar traden ze in Jeruzalem in het huwelijk. Anis is tandarts en voormalig politicus voor Fatah, die eerder ook als Palestijnse ambassadeur in Zwitserland diende. Het paar is al ruim dertig jaar samen en heeft vier kinderen: de biologische kinderen Janna, Innas en Adam, en Makram, die zij adopteerden uit een weeshuis in Bethlehem.
