Maïwenn Aurélia Nedjma Le Besco, que beaucoup appellent seulement Maïwenn, a été marquée dans sa jeunesse par Luc Besson, que ce soit dans sa carrière ou sa vie privée. Il faut dire qu’ils étaient mariés de 1992 à 1997, avant même qu’elle ait la vingtaine alors que lui avait plus de 30 ans. Maïwenn a également donné à Luc Besson une fille en 1993, qu’ils ont prénommé Shanna.
Maïwenn a aussi peu joué dans des films à l’époque pour s’occuper de Shanna, sauf pour des projets de Luc Besson. Après leur rupture, Maïwenn a attendu jusqu’en 2002 pour se refaire sa vie, et ce avec Jean-Yves Le Fur, jusqu’à ce qu’ils divorcent en 2004. Elle semble depuis être restée célibataire.
