FRANCIS CABREL ET MARIETTE DARJO
Francis Cabrel était encore un adolescent lorsqu’il a rencontré Mariette Darjo le 4 avril 1970 en venant s’amuser à un bal organisé à Buzet-sur-Baïse, un village situé dans le Lot-et-Garonne. Il confie dans une interview avec Quotidien avoir fait l’effort de vaincre sa timidité ce jour-là pour aborder Mariette. Il lui a ensuite confié être musicien et lui a proposé de le voir chanter à l’un de ses concerts.
Mariette a accepté son invitation et leur romance a débuté peu de temps après. Alain Wodrascka, qui a écrit la biographie de Cabrel, décrit leur complicité comme étant à toute épreuve. Ils ont aussi deux filles ensemble, nommées Aurélie et Manon, et en ont adopté une troisième, baptisée Thiu.
