La pareja comenzó a disfrutar juntos la locura de la década de los 70 y 80 y en 1983 decidieron casarse. La pareja tiene dos hijos y siguen estando juntos. Patti incluso guarda todas las cartas y las cintas que Keith le grabó al comienzo de su relación.
