Habiendo sufrido de diabetes tipo 2 desde sus años adolescentes y perder a su padre por la enfermedad hicieron al actor y comediante, Anthony Anderson, darse cuenta de que tenía que hacer algo rápido. Pero él no estaba seguro de unirse a un gimnasio y por eso contrató a un nutricionista que lo ayudó a hacer una dieta paleolítica. El programa consistía en verdes orgánicos libres de pesticidas y pescado y pollo libre de hormonas, este programa ayudó a regular la grasa del cuerpo de Anderson y convertirla en puro músculo. Él también practicaba ciclismo y caminaba mucho para mantener su salud al máximo y ayudar a su programa de pérdida de peso.
