You wouldn’t believe what happened next. The lioness went to the animal, and she started grooming it. It’s amazing how the latter didn’t appear bothered by the whole thing. If anything, he seemed to enjoy it. His survival instinct probably hadn’t kicked in.
Seeing as he was without his mother and was seen roaming the bush alone, it’s understandable why he’d feel safe with the company. All this looks cute, but do you really believe the lioness is just a caring mother, or was she prepping her next meal? Yes, the fawn doesn’t seem like a threat to the lioness. But what other reason could be behind this strange show of affection?
