Steven Spielberg und Amy Irving – Angebliche Einigung über 100 Millionen Dollar
Trotz der Bemühungen des Anwalts des Hollywood-Regisseurs weigerte sich ein kalifornischer Richter, den Ehevertrag von Spielberg und Irving anzuerkennen, der 1985, dem Jahr, in dem das Paar geheiratet hatte, auf eine Papierserviette gekritzelt worden war. Daraufhin verurteilte das Gericht den Hollywood-Filmemacher zur Zahlung einer Abfindung in Höhe von rund 100 Millionen Dollar an Amy, nachdem das Paar nur vier Jahre nach der Hochzeit die Scheidung eingereicht hatte.
Die Streitigkeiten zwischen den beiden blieben ungelöst und die beiden trennten sich im Jahr 1989. Irving warf Steven später vor, sie auf eine Art und Weise behandelt zu haben, die für sie völlig inakzeptabel war, was schlussendlich der Auslöser für ihre Trennung war. Wirklich traurig!
