Avec une passion partagée pour la musique, la compagne du chanteur a écrit plusieurs titres pour lui. Marie Bastide n’a pas seulement composé pour son mari, elle compte parmi ses œuvres des titres de Florent Pagny dont « Vieillir avec toi », « Le soldat » ou encore de Céline Dion comme « Le Miracle ». Le couple a donné naissance à deux enfants qui s’appellent Pio et Rita.
