David Koch was an American businessman whose organization, Koch Industries, had stakes in several art galleries, theaters, and museums worldwide, including the famous Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History and Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.
Married to Julia Koch, he had three children, and after he passed away in 2019, much of his estate was distributed among these heirs. His wife received a 42% stake in the Koch Industries, making her a multi-billionaire. According to Forbes, her net worth in January 2023 was $59.7 billion. Since then, multiple media outlets, such as Bloomberg, have named her one of the world’s wealthiest women.
