Vielleicht kennt hierzulande nicht jeder Katherine Ross beim Namen, ihr Gesicht jedoch kennen wir alle. Schließlich hat sie in gleich mehreren Hollywood-Klassikern mitgespielt. Die Reifeprüfung an der Seite von Dustin Hoffman, Die Frauen von Stepford und Zwei Banditen.
Ihren internationalen Durchbruch aber feierte sie mit Die Reifeprüfung als Elaine Robinson. Aber auch in einigen Serien hat sie mitgespielt, heute aber ist sie nur noch selten auf der Leinwand zu sehen. Sie hat sich mit ihrem Ehemann, Schauspieler Sam Elliot, zurückgezogen und genießt verdienterweise ihren Ruhestand.
