Kathleen Turner war einst als Göttin mit lockigen Haare bekannt und für viele der Inbegriff der Weiblichkeit. Wir können nicht oft genug sagen, wie toll wir sie in Heißblütig – Kaltblütig fanden. Aber die Lage änderte sich, als die Schauspielerin an Rheumatoider Arthritis erkrankte. Die Schmerzen waren wohl so stark, dass Turner zu Alkohol griff, um die Schmerzen zu dämpfen. Sie nahm auch sehr viele Schmerzmittel. Sie realisierte bald, dass sie langsam süchtig nach Alkohol und Schmerzmitteln wurde. Sie hat sich sofort in eine Therapie begeben und hat einen Entzug durchgemacht, um die Kontrolle über ihr Leben zurückzugewinnen!
