All The Shows Netflix Has Canceled – Which of your Favorite Shows Is Leaving Netflix For Good?
The Central Park Five
Director Ava DuVarney has already created a stir with her documentary 13th. The success she garnered from this thought-provoking show impressed Netflix so much that they now want her to do another one for them. This time, it is based on an actual event from the 1980s. In 1989, a New York resident reported that she was physically assaulted and attacked while she was doing her morning workout at Central Park. Police started an investigation and arrested five youths who were sent to prison in 1990. Ten years later, the real criminals confessed, and the five innocent teenagers who had been arrested at the height of the investigation were proven innocent. Sounds compelling, isn’t it? For this, DuVarney is not making another documentary as it will be a scripted drama series. It will also explore how the incident affected the lives and health of people who were involved. The Central Park Five is set to release in 2019.
