Esta pareja se conoció cuando Elton le pidió a un amigo en Londres que trajera gente nueva para una cena porque quería conocer más personas. David estaba ahí y fue amor a primera vista. La pareja fue una de las primeras en tener una asociación civil en el Reino Unido y actualmente son padres de dos hijos que tuvieron por un vientre de alquiler.
