Aparentemente ella tuvo que seguir una dieta HCG que incluye un consumo de 500 calorías al día, además de inyecciones de hormonas para controlar el aumento de peso. Gracias a la intervención a tiempo de su madre Jojo pudo salir de ese infierno y la cantante ahora mayor cree que un peso saludable es más importante que estar flaca y enferma.
