James entrenó artes marciales mixtas y se dedicó a rutinas de ejercicios de alta intensidad. Él también siguió una dieta rica en proteínas para mantener su fitness al máximo. Después se descubrió que James perdió 85 libras, aunque lo ganó todo de vuelta al finalizar la película. Afortunadamente, él ha estado intentando mantener su peso en control y parece tener 40 libras menos.
