Estuvieron juntos por casi 40 años pero el inicio de su romance no fue nada fácil. Florinda Meza cuenta que Chespirito tardó 5 años en conquistarla. Antes de eso siempre era muy amable y la cortejaba, pero a la vez estaba casado y tenía hijos, es por eso que Florinda no quería iniciar algo que no sabía si era cierto o no.
