Cooper tomó la decisión de criar a Grace con una dieta estricta
Shannon Cooper se negó a permitir que ser madre alterara su forma de vida. Tuvo que adherirse continuamente a sus valores saludables debido a su empleo como consejera de salud y bienestar.
Esto implicaba que ella no criaría a Grace de la misma manera que la mayoría de sus nuevos padres. Pero también implicaba que Grace había crecido de manera muy diferente a sus contemporáneos.
