Der Arzt führte alle notwendigen diagnostischen Tests durch. Nun war es an der Zeit, mit Cynthia über die Ergebnisse zu sprechen. Cynthia wurde also zum Arzt gerufen. Cynthia saß stirnrunzelnd auf ihrem Stuhl. Sie hatte das Gefühl, dass sie vorhersagen konnte, was der Arzt sagen würde, aber sie hoffte, dass es nicht stimmte. Wie wir wissen, ist Cynthias Geist zu diesem Zeitpunkt in ihrem Leben mit anderen Dingen beschäftigt. Sie freute sich nicht darauf zu hören, was der Arzt ihr sagen würde.
Der Arzt kam schließlich mit der überraschenden Nachricht zurück: „Sie sind schwanger.“ Cynthia sah den Arzt an und konnte kaum glauben, was sie da hörte. Aber die Geschichte hatte noch mehr zu bieten. Was können Sie möglicherweise erwarten, wenn Sie bereits wissen, dass Sie schwanger sind? Cynthia war nun gespannt, was der Arzt zusätzlich zu den Neuigkeiten, die sie gerade erhalten hatte, zu sagen hatte. Sie wartete geduldig darauf, dass der Arzt mit der zweiten Nachricht begann.
